Bryan Schuster is CCFR’s newest captain. A fourteen-year veteran of CCFR, he is filling the role of retired Captain Larry Conoyer. As a captain, Schuster will lead a three-person engine company and serve as Incident Commander in emergency situations.
He is also responsible for coordinating, overseeing and recommending training for his company, including physical fitness training.
“We are proud to be able to promote Bryan to Captain. He is a fantastic firefighter who will be a strong asset to the District’s leadership team,” says CCFR Chief Russ Mason.
Schuster is a licensed paramedic who holds his Missouri Division of Fire Safety Firefighter I and II, Fire Officer I and II, and Fire Service Instructor certifications. He is a Missouri Certified Hazardous Materials Technician, and an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Crossfit Level I Trainer. Schuster is a graduate of Hazelwood Central High School and holds Associate Degrees in Applied Science for Fire Protection Technology and Paramedic Technology.
Outside of work, Schuster is passionate about fitness, and enjoys spending time outdoors and hockey. He once even had the privilege to play a game of professional hockey. Along with his wife and two children, Schuster lives in New Town at St. Charles.
