Daniel Aubuchon Promoted To Chief of Central County Fire & Rescue

On Jan. 4, 2016 Daniel Aubuchon will take the helm of St. Charles County’s largest fire protection district. Aubuchon, a 29-year veteran of Central County Fire & Rescue (CCFR) has been named the new CCFR fire chief. Aubuchon has served as a Battalion Chief since 1998 and is filling the position opened by Chief Russ Mason’s retirement. Captain Sean Webb has been promoted to fill Aubuchon’s battalion chief position

“Daniel brings a substantial wealth of knowledge and experience that will help maintain the high quality of emergency services our community has come to expect from its fire district,” says CCFR Board Chair Dave Tilley.



In his role as battalion chief, Aubuchon oversaw daily shift operations and was the incident commander at numerous emergency scenes. He has more than 20 years of supervisory experience and holds numerous advanced certifications in fire investigation, emergency management, and hazardous materials handling. Aubuchon has also been an integral part of the district’s long-range planning efforts. He holds an associate of applied science in fire science technology from Pike’s Peak Community College.

Sean Webb has been an active member of CCFR for 25 years, most recently serving as a Captain. Along with his crew, he has received multiple clinical save awards, and a lifesaving medal for the rescue of a family from a house fire in 2012. Webb holds an associate’s degree from Kaiser University and is a certified firefighter and licensed paramedic. He also holds certifications in the areas of hazardous materials, fire service instruction, and fire department leadership. For the past ten years, Sean has served as an acting battalion chief, when one of the three full-time battalion chiefs was not available.

“With his leadership skills and experience Sean will be a strong addition to our team of battalion chiefs,” says Tilley.

A team of 82 firefighter/EMTs, fire inspectors and operational staff work together to keep the St. Peters and St. Charles, MO community safe. This well-trained team operates six fire stations, seven days a week. A three-member, citizen-elected Board of Directors, leads the District.
