Kids can learn what it’s like to be a firefighter (without the danger) at CCFR Kids Fire Academy. Campers will spend the day at five activity stations trying out real firefighting equipment like fire hoses, thermal imaging cameras and fire extinguishers, seeing fire trucks up close and learning how they work, experiencing first-hand some of the other firefighter/EMT duties, and playing fun firefighting games.

Participants
Kids aged 8-13 who are residents of the Central County Fire & Rescue (CCFR) Fire Protection District.
Cost
$10 per camper
What to Wear
Campers will be given a t-shirt upon arrival. Closed toed shoes are required. Athletic shorts or pants are recommended. Some activities will involve water.
What to Bring
Water, snacks, and lunch will be provided. It is suggested that all campers bring sunscreen.

Mail or deliver a completed application form and $10 to CCFR Headquarters, 1 Timberbrook Dr., St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Applications will be available soon.
The first 60 applicants who live within CCFR will be accepted to the Kids Fire Academy.
The safety of the participants is of the utmost importance. Off-duty CCFR firefighter/EMTs will serve as camp instructors. Campers will not participate in any real emergency situations.
