Halloween Safety

The National Fire Protection Association has everything you need to keep your little monsters safe this Halloween!

A few other fire safety tips:

  • When choosing a costume, stay away from trailing fabrics and masks that obscure your child’s vision. Be sure children know what to do if their clothing catches fire (stop, drop and roll!).
  • Keep all Halloween decorations away from open flames and other heat sources.
  • Keep exits and escape routes clear of decorations.
  • Use battery-operated candles or glowsticks in jack-o-lanterns. If you choose to use a real candle, use extreme caution and make sure children are supervised at all times.
