Central County Fire & Rescue Teams Up With Local Tattoo Shop for ‘Toys for Tats’ Drive

Dreaming of a new tattoo this holiday season? Central County Fire & Rescue (CCFR) has a fun and charitable way for you to make that dream a reality.

Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, CCFR Community Outreach, in partnership with Permanent Vacation Tattoos, will host a Toys for Tats event at the St. Charles tattoo shop. Individuals who bring a new toy (valued at $25 or more, with receipt) will be eligible to receive a free tattoo. The shop will offer more than 20 different designs, and tattoo artists from across the country will be on hand to assist with the event.

In 2017, Permanent Vacation Tattoo gathered almost $4,000 worth of toys, and is hoping to double that amount this year.

“CCFR Community Outreach wants to make sure every child in our community has a great Christmas,” CCFR Assistant Chief Steve Brown says. “We know our community has a great giving spirit, and hope to see many of them turnout for this fun, creative event.”

Additionally, off-duty CCFR firefighters will be barbecuing at the event. Proceeds from the BBQ will be donated to the CCFR Community Outreach Fund, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps residents in need throughout the year.

Permanent Vacation Tattoo is located 3130 W. Clay St., St. Charles, MO 63301. For more information about the Toys for Tats event, visit www.facebook.com/permanentvacationtattoos.
