Central County Fire and Rescue (CCFR) firefighters, Mayor Len Pagano and St. Peters Alderman presented a $17,000 donation to the Mid-East Area on Aging – St. Peters Senior Center.

On Friday, Oct. 11 CCFR and city officials held a trivia night that raised $17,000 for the Senior Center’s Home Delivered Meal Program. More than 240 community members attended the event.

The donation will help support the home delivered meals program at the Senior Center. The program provides one, hot, nutritious noon-time meal that provides a third of an adults daily nutritional requirement to local homebound senior citizens every week day. Many times the meals on wheels volunteer is the only person the senior sees all day. The visit provides human contact and a safety net for these seniors.
