The Board of Directors of Central County Fire & Rescue in St. Peters, Missouri, will consider Board Resolution No. 26-197 on Wednesday, January 7, at 5:00 p.m. at District Headquarters located at 1220 Cave Springs Blvd. St. Peters, MO. This resolution includes the proposed ballot language for a sales tax initiative named PROP FIRE that, upon Board approval, will appear on the Tuesday, April 7, 2026, ballot for voters within the Fire Protection District. This initiative follows recently enacted legislation in Jefferson City that authorizes fire districts to submit sales tax proposals to voters. If approved, 50% of the revenue generated would be used to roll back property taxes.
